Softball Area Champs, Region Bound

The Jet softball team secured a berth in the AHSAA Class 7A North Regional with an 8-2 win over Austin and a 4-2 win over tournament host Bob Jones on Thursday. The Jets dispatched Bob Jones for a second time 4-0 on Friday to claim the Area 8 championship. The Jets will play Huntsville at

Softball Rolls Into Rankings

The James Clemens Jets softball team rode strong wins over 7A # 7 ranked Sparkman (10-4) and 6A # 5 Hazel Green (3-1) to a fifth place ranking in the first ASWA rankings of the season. The Jets are currently 7-5-1 overall. Jets Sign Two Softball Players

James Clemens held a signing ceremony for two varsity softball players on 1/31. Lila Young signed with UAH as a shortstop. She was an AHSAA North South All Star as a junior and second team all state. Holly Sharp signed to play with Huntingdon College as a pitcher. Lila plans to pursue dentistry and Lila will enter the medical field.

James Clemens Welcomes Swim, Baseball, Softball Coaches

James Clemens started the school year with three newly named head coaches. Molly Waddell takes over the James Clemens swim and dive teams serving as head coach for both the boys and girls teams. Waddell most recently served as the head coach at the Greystone YMCA in Birmingham. Waddell swam on the Birmingham Southern College

Jet All Stars Bound for Montgomery

Four James Clemens Jets are bound for the AHSAA All Star North – South games next week in Montgomery. Lila Young, (softball, infield and catcher) and Hannah Smid (girls soccer, left wing and center forward) will be the first Jets to take flight with their respective games being played on Tuesday. AJ McGinnis (basketball, guard)
