Congratulations to the JAMES CLEMENS / LIBERTY CROSS COUNTRY TEAM on their performance in the HUNTSVILLE TWILIGHT Cross Country Meet held at John Hunt Running Park in Huntsville Alabama.

36 Schools and 685 athletes competed in the Meet in 65-70 degree weather on the SECTION MEET course. James Clemens had three teams place in the top 5 led by the Junior High Girls that won the OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

James Clemens had 4 ELITE RUNNERS (John Mark Ingalls; Sarah Shirley; Sydney Freeman; and Nikki Lipski ) and 15 PERSONAL RECORDS.

GIRLS VARSITY competed in the CHAMPIONSHIP Division against Five of the top 10 Ranked 7A Teams in the State and 81 runners.. James Clemens competed without 3 of their top 5 girls and still finished 5th out of 13 Schools. The GIRLS accomplished their team goal for the meet to defeat SECTION teams Hewitt, Buckhorn; and Grissom.

James Clemens Girls are currently ranked #2 in the Section 4 Class 7A and #6 in the STATE 7A Rankings.

BOYS 5K VARSITY competed in the CHAMPIONSHIP Division against Four of the top 10 Ranked 7A Teams in the State and 116 runners.. James Clemens competed without two of their top 5 boys. The boys put 4 runners under 18:00 minutes and defeated SECTION teams Sparkman and Buckhorn. The time split from their first to 4th runner on the team was ONLY 9 seconds. JC had 4 out of 5 runners set PERSONAL RECORDS.

GIRLS 2500m JUNIOR HIGH (7th;8th;9th gr) 
JC Junior High GIRLS upset host Huntsville and won the OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP Trophy by 8 points. 87 runners competed in the race. James Clemens dominated the meet by putting three girls in the top 10 and five girls in the top 20.

BOYS 2500m JUNIOR HIGH (7th;8th;9th gr) 
JC Junior High BOYS finished 3rd OVERALL 138 runners competed in the race. James Clemens put three boys in the top 16.

John Mark Ingalls made the ALL ELITE team by finishing 8th place overall 7:54. Isaul Rubio finished 13th OVERALL 7:57 and Jake Milani finished 16th overall 8:0112:14. Other JC scorers: Jackson Hellums 33rd 8:22; and Tynan Gibson 34th 8:23
