The James Clemens Jets outdoor track teams had a remarkable season, both winning the Huntsville Metro Meet championship, and the 7A section meet championship before advancing to the state meet in Gulf Shores. The girls finished 4th at state and boys 14th.

Jet junior Zuri Falkner was named to the AL.com Super All State team for her performance in the discuss. Zuri excels in all throwing events for the Jets.

Jet freshman Shataeya Ligon was named Huntsville Metro female athlete of the year. Ligon excelled in the 100M, 100 hurdles and triple jump, and was on the 4X100 relay team.

JCHS head track coach Drew Bell was named the Huntsville Metro Coach of The Year, which is determined by team overall score in the indoor and outdoor state meet, and the metro meet. Coach Bell won the award in 2015 as well, and was co-recipient last year.
